I've had my docs for years. They have seen better days, but they get more comfortable with age. I have been to London, seen the British Boot Co., partied with squatters, walked countless miles, and slept in less that comfortable places. The one thing that will never change is the boots I wear. It's hard for a punk to scrape together enough to buy a pair, but they are worth every penny. I couldn't imagine putting on anything else than my 14 eye cherry red docs. Studded leather jacket, mohawk, and docs.... like they are a part of me.

In my Women's Triumph boot, I've tromped around between events at my High School track meets, I've shakily read new poems, I've jumped across ditches and stamped my way to ballet. My thrifted, nearly brandnew $9 black Oxfords have carried me, with difficulty, away from a shady car on a late night and over a garden wall. They've earned me street credibility and sneers, comforted toes, height and admirers. They're good friends.

I work in an automated machine environment which requires me to stand at least 90% of the day. I remembered how much my old docs felt on my feet when I was younger and bought a pair of 1460's about 3 weeks ago. I have to tell you my feet haven't been happier.
My coworkers are wanting a pair now. I tell them it will be the best investment for their feet. It definitely brings back some happy times for me.

I just got my pair yesterday and I don't want to take them off! At first I was excited to wear them for the style, but once I started walking around in them for one day, I realized that they are much more than looking cool. I'm not used to comfort like this on my feet to my back. Feels like I'm walking on air.
