I still use the first pair of Dr Martins that I bought in 7th grade...I pestered my parents to get me a pair in 1996 and I finally got what I wanted...I picked up a size larger than my actual size in the hope that my feet would grow inside the boots which weer roomy enough...
Since then my pair of Dr. Martins have gone through every possible situation imaginable..Used it as school shoes, used them at work, used them on vacations in the snow, in the rain...yet the shoes remain intact...Thay've also saved me from glass splinters and acid on the roads...My Dr Martins has def saved careless me from a million hazardous situations...My mother and almost everyone I know joke about me and my pair of martins...Most of them say that Rasha is very economical..My mom says that she'd give them away to my husband as dowry:).she still uses the pair of shoes that she was born with....
I bought my pair in Saudi Arabia when boots were considered to be the "in" thing....Sadly now iv left Saudi Arabia and I have no access to buying the same from the malls or stores here in India...The one i own is an oldfashioned classic pair and I'd never throw them away..so far so good they are intact...All I can say is that Dr Martins rule and that I've spent the best memories of my life in my Dr. Martins and wish they are sold in India sooner so that I can get a new pair...Its truly indestructible...

I've loved Doc Martens since I was in High School. I bought my very first pair when I was a brandnew Soldier in the US Army in 1996. I wore those black, greasy, 4eye shoes endlessly. They were a key piece my offduty "uniform." I walked in many states and a few countries in those Docs, to include a year in South Korea. During that summer of '99, I took a trip back to the US for a vacation and made it a priority to get my hands on a pair of Dr. Marten sandals. I scoured four malls in two states to find the right ones. I didn't give up because I knew they were out there somewhere and I just had to check "one more store!" Sure enough I finally lucked out and found the perfect pair before my return to Korea. I wore them throughout the remainder of my Active Duty career and still have both pairs. Twelve years and two more pairs later, I'm in the process if finding my next pair and I just don't want anything else. I hope that by serving my country for a few years helped change the world one way or another, but if not, I had on great shoes in the meantime!

I remember when I bought my first pair of Docs, My daughters wore them in all kinds of styles. I always asked them, How can you stand weraing such a heavy boot, shoe, mule, Their reply was Mom your foot molds in the shoe and it is so very comfortable, I said OK whatever, you are the ones that have to wear them. This was over 15 years ago. After buying these Docs for my daughters a couple of years later, I slipped a disc in my lower back, it was so terrible I couldnt hardly walk, my youngest daughter then 14 said mom you have to get you a pair of Docs, that will definately help your back. I finally did and I can honestly say my back has improved so much that it is just unbelivable, I wish I would had bought them sooner and I would not have had that pain for those long 2 years. I also have a very high instep and my feet hurt as well because of this, I have been wearing Docs for over 14 years now and I have mules, boots, and shoes. I will honestly tell you there is no comfortable shoe around the world that can compare to this shoe, I am so grateful to find the comfort in these Docs and I really dont know what I would have done without them. I always tell all my friends and patients at work to get them especially if they have broken a hip or had a foot, back or leg injury, and even if they havent to go ahead and get these just for everday long term comfort. I love Docs and I am grateful to be able to find any kind of shoe for any kind of event avaiable. I also want to mention they never wear out. I always get a lot of compliments where ever I go, people will say I love your shoes, Are they Doc Martens? I always proudly say .......Yes, I love them to and yes they are Dr. Martens ......Thanks Dr. Marten

i work in construction, about three years ago, my feet were hurting so bad i had a hard time walking. i went to the doctors, they took xrays and everthing. they couldn't find anyhting wrong. my wife has a pair of dr. martens and she said they were the most comfortable boot ever. i had bought expensive brand name boots in the past. still sore feet. so i bought a pair of "docs". i have bought a pair every 8 months since with no more foot and legs pain. thanks "Doc"!!!!

I can still remember my 14th birthday that I had finally gotten the cash together to get my first pair. My friend drove me to the coolest store called Hullabaloo that had what seemed like the worlds biggest display of Docs. I have been an addict ever since. They simply change the relationship between your feet and shoes. No tiny overpriced high heels for me. They have been changing the world by proving that fashionable can be practical. When I wear my docs I get a powerfull feeling of individuality that no other shoe can deliver, not to forget the comfort they give. I have close to 25 pairs and am always looking for that cool new design. I also love knowing the heritige of these working mens boots from England. Thats a real icon. Many of my heroes have worn Docs and I just told my husband when I am 80 I will stll be sporting them. I just hope by then they will all be made back in England.
