I'm on my 3rd pair of Docs, the 1460 boot, and only because I wear these things pretty much every day... I ride my bike in them, work hosting shifts at a vegetarian restaurant in town in them, wear them to work barbacking shifts at the local Belgianstyle pub, and walk to the 5 points coffee shop in them. They're longlasting, comfortable, goodlooking, and sturdy. I'll continue to wear them as long as they're made.

I have worn Docs since I was 13 years old. They are the only brand of shoes that I have complete dedication too. Not only are they stylish...they are extremely comfortable and reliable! Throughout the years I have purchased my fair share of Docs...my very first pair (that I still have today 14 years later) were a pair of green 8 hole...they will always be my favorites...I have also owned Royal blue 3 hole...White 10 hole and several varying styles of black Docs. Today I work for a Medevac Helicopter company and recommend all of my flight crews to purchase Docs when they are due for new boots which are part of their uniforms. I wear them everyday to work...anything else would make my workday miserable! I am part of a system that saves lives and thanks to Dr. Martens, I can get through my day without aching feet or backaches and still look stylish...thank you! I love my Docs!

We have never shown my daughter pictures but she has heard a few fleeting stories of my shaved head, trench coat and Doc Marten boots. Ah to be a punk teen in LA in the 80's. Now my sweet girl at the tender age of almost 13 wants a pair for her birthday/Bat Mitzvah. Her words are 'that would be so sick'. So what have I done in my doc marten's...I grew up and then I raised a sweet girl who now wants to wear Doc Martens. I guess you can't fight nature. Oh yes, and she will get her a pair.

It was November of 1993, I was on Active Duty in the US Marine Corps deployed overseas on board ship. We were getting ready to go to the French Alps for 3 weeks of training. We were told that we could not wear "jungleboots" into the Alps because they provided no ankle support. All I had were my jungleboots and my 8hole black Docs. So on went my black Docs. We were told that it would be unusually warm weather for November so we all packed light. Well it snowed a total of 40" that 3 weeks. My Docs and 3 pair of socks kept my feet warm and comfy mile after mile. Now 15 years later I am getting ready to go over to Iraq as a Civilian Contractor and a new pair of 8hole Docs are coming with me. I wouldn't want to put the comfort of my feet int he hands of lesser boots. Keep up the good work Doc!
