I started late with my docs! I got my first pair of black 14 ups 2 years ago, and have not looked back since! Now breaking in my 4th pair I would never be without them! I got my first pair of Doc's five years ago when my mum handed me her old ones. Those trusty snakeskin Doc's are still going strong along with eight other pairs! I wear them all year round despite the hot weather, at uni, at festivals & gigs everywhere.

My eldest pair is a 6i steeltoe plainwelt from the 1960s a customer who was a mod then and is a stockbroker now gave them to me to know them in good hands. However my own eldest is a 1979 pair cherry red8i 2 sizes to big then (and now..) nicked from some shop and due to bad conscience paid fror a week later. Been with my feet ever since, personally resoled by late Dr Funck in Munich in 1990. They weathered thru all stages of my life, from soaphair to spiked hair to short hair and now to really short hair too. They came a long to see mMadness, the Pogues, The Men The Couldn't hang, Sham 69, Blondie, Motorhead, Meteors, Ramones, The Missioon, The Business, Cocksparrer, The Who Agnostic Front, Social Distrotion, Blink 182, Bad Religion, Gorilla Biscuits, Spermbirds, Toxic Reasons, Tsudo Hospital, The Hosen, Dead Kennedies, Einsturzende Neubauten, JBO, The Swans, Foetus, The Fall, Siouxie, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, The Cure, Slapshot, Nick Cave, Bauhaus, Guana Batz, Cocksparrer and so endlessly many more... And I'm sorry yes, they had to come along to Simply Red and Elton John as the Missus kindly asked me to...Look lovely with a Staprest and a Sherman, and yes they'll give much better than take, if you know what I mean... It's been a pleasure to sell DMs to so many people over the years and belive me, it helps to love the product you sell.
Still makes my hairs stand up when a new shipment arrives.
