for some reason growing up all i ever wanted was docs. wasnt until i was 13 that i was able to find where to buy them, now i am always looking for more. i still have my very first 8 hole basic balck pair that have so many memories that i just cant part with them. currently i have over 30 and are always looking for new and different pairs, which is hard to find in queensland.
i love mary janes the best and have been wearing the current pair for over 10 years and it shows little wear. i am so excited to finally find this site... no more saving for awhile, i need some of these :)

I got my first pair in the 8th grade back in 1988 which were black 14 holes and have since owned 3,8, and 10 holed ones as well as ox blood colored shoes and boots. Right now anxiously awaiting for my smith shoe model to arrive and have always just loved them. I started wearing them when I found out about punk rock music. I always appreciated how they were the working class persons boot/shoe and still wear them now as a restaurant manager. I do actually wear my soles right out however. I log big miles in these suckers every week to the tune of 1012 hour days 5 days a week. The treads get worn completely down and usually end up cracking and then I buy a new pair. I'm actually considering buying the Doc's for life just afraid they won't be considered normal wear and tear sort of thing. The Doc's I sport are subjected to water, grooved tiles, carpet, oils, grease, cleaning chemicals etc.. and I get about 10 months from them so I don't know if they would want to reissue me a new pair that frequently. But I do love them and maybe it's cause I'm just a working Joe you know and that's my story.

After 24 years on jump status with the 82nd Airborne Division, I've had several severe jump related and combat injuries. I was told about Dr. Martens when I was complaining to a friend about not being able to stand for long periods without pain in my feet. She reccomended Dr Martens, and ever since I've been able to do more than with less pain than ever before. I have the 1460s life time and some of the regular ones I got a little crazy and also but the cherry bombs. Every pair allows me to keep up with my kids and stay on my feet for extended periods of time with little pain. Motorcycling on my Harley, even at work in a suite with a pair of polished Ivans! I feel good in my Dr. Martens and I am looking for a reason to buy a pair of vintage 1460s, but my closet now has six pairs of Martens which is a heck of a lot for a dude to have. I highly reccomend them for veterans like myself there is no need to live in pain or slow down because of your leg and foot injuries!

i have owned at least a pair but at most times have 34 pairs in my closet and 23 pair in the living room and will soon be adding to possession a . i have: oxfords, flip flops, sandals, And boots currently my closet boasts 5 pair i just counted.
after each tax season i try to purchase at least on pair an have been able to fully wear out only one pair, and that was due to a deep puddle of water and another 48 hours of work after. but that has nothing to do with the company. That was my own mis use use.
I look forward to every pair and the oldest ones I have are 6 years old

I have to admit but I was a dork for more than 44 years til I discovered Dr Marten's boots this Christmas. Since I have found the oxblood 10 eye I feel like I own the world now. I feel 20 years younger looking for reasons to take the wife out on the town etc...Yes Im totally cool now (in my own mind) thanks to these wonderful boots. If I had to choose to give up either the Rolex or my boots, well its best not to think about.
