D3O Met Guard

How It Works

You may have seen hard external met guards before, but you’ve never seen this; a soft, flexible internal met guard from D3O™ that, when impacted, gives you a protective barrier over the top of your foot.

The D3O™ metatarsal components are made out of a shock absorbing material that when struck creates a protective barrier that absorbs and disperses the energy of the impact, reducing the force transmitted to the foot. Its unique flexibility ensures increased comfort, allowing for longer wear.

We’ve taken two of the most popular Dr. Martens work boots with water resistant leather uppers and air-cushioned soles and added the D3O™ IM technology for flexible metatarsal protection. In addition to this increased safety feature is the comfort of the Smartmask® PU-cushioned footbed.

D3O™ met guards pass both EN20345:2004 and ASTMF2412-05, when integrated into footwear.
