Sympatex® Membrane
Used in Griptrax WP Rigger

The Sympatex® membrane is a fully waterproof construction consisting of a copolymer with 70% polyester and 30% polyether. Polyester is hydrophobic (repels water) and polyether is hydrophilic (allows water vapor through) It is a non-porous membrane that is watertight and yet simultaneously water vapor permeable. The molecular chains of the special polyester raw material have a water vapor conductive effect. Thus the water vapor can penetrate into the closed membrane and move along the molecular chains. The direction of the movement is thus determined by the direction of
the water vapor concentration gradient between the front and rear faces of the membrane.

Smartmask™ insoles (footbeds) are constructed using a special blend of polyurethane. The insole is designed specifically to provide extra cushioning and superior shock absorption properties. The insole is designed to be breathable, avoiding foot perspiration. The mould arch support provides the heel stability, which reduces foot and lower body discomfort for the wearer.

Polyurethane Insoles

Insoles (footbeds) are constructed from open cell polyurethane, which provides airflow to keep feet cool while wicking away moisture thus creating odour and fungus resistant properties.
